Two asset managers plan to launch investment funds tied to the new “MANGOS” basket of AI-focused companies after SpaceX’s (NASDAQ:SPCX) historic IPO and the excitement surrounding artificial intelligence.

AI Investing Trend Reaches ETF Market

Yorkville America Investment Trust, which sponsors the Truth Social ETFs, and Corgi ETF Trust 1 separately filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday to launch funds built around the MANGOS theme, which includes Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META), NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA), Google’s parent Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL), OpenAI, Anthropic and SpaceX.

Space Exploration Technologies Corp‘s (NASDAQ:SPCX) blockbuster public debut has finally given investors direct access to the world’s dominant space company. But for ETF managers, the company’s roughly $2.5 trillion market capitalization creates a challenge that may be harder to solve than deciding whether to buy the stock.

For years, space-themed ETFs were forced to build portfolios around satellite operators, aerospace suppliers and defense contractors because SpaceX remained private. Now that the company is public, fund managers must decide how much exposure to give a company that is larger than much of the publicly traded space industry combined.

When One Company Becomes The Theme

“SpaceX as a publicly traded company is genuinely transformative for thematic ETF construction,” said Christopher Gannatti, Global Head of Research at WisdomTree.

The challenge, according to Gannatti, is that SpaceX’s size could overwhelm traditional portfolio construction models. At its current valuation, the company dwarfs virtually every other pure-play space business available to public investors.

Crude began unwinding months of conflict premium after the Trump administration claimed that the Strait of Hormuz has reopened as part of an agreement reached with Iran on Sunday.

Yet three corners of the market that the war hammered have still not climbed back to where they traded the day it began.

West Texas Intermediate slid to around $80 a barrel on Tuesday, its lowest since early March, after President Donald Trump said on social media that the deal with Iran was complete and the U.S. naval blockade would be lifted.

But financial markets are sending a different signal beneath the rally.

The Laggards The Rally Left Behind

Wall Street has continued to hit record highs since the U.S. attacked Iran in February. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:SPY) rose 10% throughout that time.

But not all sectors have shared in the rally, with some of the market’s biggest laggards posting steep losses.

Data from CountryETFTracker, which measures performance against the Feb. 27 starting point of the conflict, shows three U.S. industry funds still in negative territory nearly four months later. They are the laggards the recovery left behind:

These ETNs are unsecured debt obligations issued by the Bank of Montreal and their performance tracks an index but carries the credit risk of BMO. Instead of tracking broader markets like the S&P 500, MicroSectors track concentrated indexes generally containing 10 to 15 sector-leading stocks.

Most offerings in the suite of ETNs comprise 3X daily resetting leverage on either long or short ETNs. That means that these ETNs seek to provide three times leveraged participation, or leveraged inverse participation, in the index that it tracks on a daily basis (before taking into account fees). On a daily basis, traders can express a view, long or short, whether they expect a basket of securities to rise or fall in price.

Gold prices could get worse before getting better. That is the latest take from UBS Group, which highlighted short-term weakness in its note.

“Gold has faced renewed pressure as resilient labor market data and higher real yields prompted markets to shift expectations toward a possible rate hike this year,” the Swiss bank’s strategists Dominic Schnider, Giovanni Staunovo, and Wayne Gordon noted.

UBS describes the situation as a “double whammy.” A run of stronger-than-expected U.S. economic data, particularly resilient labor market figures, has altered expectations around monetary policy.

Warsh Takes the Helm

Investors are increasingly bracing for tighter conditions under Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, who holds his first meeting as Chairman this week. According to the FedWatch tool, the federal funds rate is almost guaranteed to remain between 350 and 375 bps. However, the odds of a 25 bps hike in July and September stand at 6.3% and 27.8%, respectively.

Stock Market Today: Nasdaq 100 Rallies, Oil Sinks 5% As U.S.-Iran Deal Reopens Hormuz

U.S. stocks rallied sharply on Monday after the United States and Iran signed a peace agreement that ends their war and reopens the Strait of Hormuz, sending crude oil tumbling roughly 5% to two-month lows and Treasury yields to one-month lows.

The collapse in energy prices eased inflation fears and powered a sharp rally in technology stocks.

“Ships are starting to move, many loaded up with oil, out of the Strait of Hormuz. They are going along the Southern ‘Highway,’ which is totally safe, secure, and pristine,” President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social Monday.

Senior U.S. officials said traffic through the strait would rise immediately, though full reopening would take time owing to mine removal, with the deal due to be signed in Switzerland on June 19.

West Texas Intermediate crude slid 5.3% to around $80.37 a barrel, while Brent dropped 5.0% to roughly $82.93, both touching two-month lows as the prospect of restored Persian Gulf exports unwound the conflict’s risk premium.

The retreat in oil rippled through rates markets. The 10-year Treasury yield eased 3 basis points to about 4.46%, its lowest in a month, while the 2-year fell 4 basis points to 4.05% and the 30-year held near 4.97%.

Across U.S. equity markets by midday Monday, gains were broad-based.

The S&P 500 climbed 1.8% to 7,567, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 684 points, or 1.3%, to 51,886. The Nasdaq 100 outpaced the tape with a 2.9% surge to 30,485. Within Magnificent Seven stocks, Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:META) jumped 5.8%, while Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) rose 3.4%, Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) gained 3.2% and Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) added 3.0%. The small-cap Russell 2000 climbed 1.3% to 2,983.

The global race for critical minerals has entered a new phase. Between the energy transition, electric vehicle adoption, the AI capex race, and advanced manufacturing, the demand for metals is growing and becoming a matter of national security.

The latest 2026 UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) report argues that critical mineral markets are undergoing a structural reconfiguration.

Governments are increasingly deploying export taxes, licensing requirements, and outright bans not merely to protect supplies but to capture more value domestically through processing and manufacturing.

Since 2020, nearly 100 export-related measures affecting critical energy transition minerals have been introduced by producer nations seeking to move beyond their traditional role as raw material exporters.

“Trade policy is increasingly being used to secure access to and participate in critical energy transition mineral supply chains,” the report notes.

At the same time, the mining sector is struggling. Easily accessible deposits are maturing, ore grades are declining, and development timelines are lengthening. The result is a supply-curve pressure at the worst possible moment – when demand is set to explode.

Shares of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) rallied to $175 by midday trading Friday, as the stock debuted on the Nasdaq as the world’s biggest IPO ever.

The roughly $75 billion offering at a $1.75 trillion valuation priced at $135 per share, and the Elon Musk-led company wasted no time leaving that mark behind, swinging between roughly $150 and $168 before pushing higher to $175 by midday a gain of about 30% from its listing price.

The record listing rocked the rest of the space complex, as investors rotated capital toward the sector’s new heavyweight and reassessed the competitive landscape. AST SpaceMobile Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTS) plunged 14.6% – the worst showing in the Russell 1000 – while Rocket Lab Corporation (NASDAQ:RKLB) tumbled 10.1% as traders booked profits on a name that had run up sharply ahead of the listing.

The pain ran deeper among the smaller players. Firefly Aerospace Inc. (NASDAQ:FLY) sank 17%, Velo3D Inc. (NYSE:VELO) – a SpaceX parts supplier often traded as a proxy – fell 16%, EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ:SATS) dropped 15%, and Voyager Technologies Inc. (NYSE:VOYG) slid 13%.

Oracle Missed On Cloud Revenue: Why AI ETFs Are Unfazed

Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL) shares fell more than 11% on Thursday after the software giant reported fiscal fourth-quarter cloud revenue that narrowly missed Wall Street expectations and unveiled plans to raise roughly $40 billion to fund an aggressive AI infrastructure expansion.

The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.11 on revenue of $19.18 billion, topping analyst estimates of $1.97 and $19.09 billion, respectively. However, cloud revenue came in at $9.91 billion, slightly below expectations of $9.97 billion. The stock also faced pressure after Oracle disclosed plans to finance new data center construction through a mix of debt and equity offerings.

Yet while Oracle’s shares retreated, investors in AI-focused ETFs appeared largely unfazed.
