Lean Hogs Mixed
Tuesday's USDA hog slaughter was 432,000 head versus a year ago at 417,000 head. Lean Hogs Futures traded choppy during Tuesday's trading session. Chatter about the USDA Pig Crop report on Friday kept both buyers and sellers active.
April Hogs traded back and forth and ended the day a little lower. April Hogs were trading at 58.60, down 0.65.
June Hogs traded on both sides of unchanged and set new contract lows early in the session. June Hogs then recovered the losses and moved higher to 74.45, up 0.82.
