Lean Hogs Sharply Higher

Tuesday's USDA hog slaughter was 424,000 head versus a year ago at 404,000 head.

October Lean Hogs were trading at 67.32, up 2.00 and December Lean Hogs were trading at 63.07, up 1.17.

Market chatter about better pork product prices was supportive. Some chatter about good weather for hog movement later this week was making the rounds late in the session.
