Google (GOOG) Puts Emphasis On Mobile Technology
Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) made its foray into the mobile segment with the launch of its phone, Nexus One.
Talking with CNBC, Google’s Nikesh Arora, President of Global Sales Operations & Business Development, stated that the mobile phone is now a manifestation of what you do on your desktop. Google seems to be capitalizing on the trend of mobile technologies. Mobile ad space is still in the nascent stage.
In 2009, $416 million was spent on mobile ads whereas the figure was at $22.4 billion for online advertisements. Google is enthusiastic about the mobile space.
